“Design professionals have changed how they work. Gone are the resource rooms filled with catalogs, swatch books and samples," Manny Steinfeld.

Chairpedia™ (http://www.chairpedia.com), the one-click resource for quality products designed and manufactured exclusively for the contract environment, is being introduced at the Hospitality Design Expo & Conference, Booth 2627 http://www.hdexpo.com.
The show runs May 15-17 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Las Vegas.
Launched late in 2011, the user-friendly site allows architects, interior designers and specifiers to search alphabetically for companies and products for use in their projects. The site is also a resource for information about the industry, its history, pioneers and current leading architects, interior designers and purchasing firms.
“We elected to formally introduce this new service at HD Expo because of the broad audience the show attracts. This is the show that is attended by the leading design professionals we want to reach. It is also a forum for new ideas and innovative products,” explains Manfred Steinfeld, founder of Chairpedia.
“Design professionals have changed how they work. Gone are the resource rooms filled with catalogs, swatch books and samples. Now designers specifiers are turning to online resources to research products,” adds Steinfeld.
Throughout his entrepreneurial career, Steinfeld has recognized an industry need and stepped up to fill it. He helped found the Contract Manufacturers Association at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago and in 1969 provided the impetus for the founding of the industry’s first trade show.
Later he opened the country’s first design center and book store in his Mart showroom because he saw a need for a convenient resource for contract designers. The center housed the industry’s most comprehensive collection of reference books and periodicals and a product gallery featuring many of the leading industry suppliers. It was a destination stop for any design professional visiting the Merchandise Mart and a major attraction during shows. Chairpedia is his answer to current changes in the industry.
