With a motto of “Selling boots to the fortunate. Giving boots to the less fortunate.”, Roma Provisions is satisfying a basic need: “Our mission is to keep feet warm and dry by providing a comfortable, durable and fashionable pair of Roma Boots to every needy child living in cold and wet climates,” says Roma founder Samuel Bistrian. One of 12 siblings, Bistrian was raised in a village of 80 people in Romania where he experienced poverty and lack of such basic necessities. Having moved to the United States at the age of eight, Bistrian still remembers his humble beginnings and by launching Roma Provisions has embarked on a mission to give back to those in need. In 2010 Bistrian founded the hybrid company that combines fashion with charity.

Past News Releases

In the past two years, Roma Provisions has successfully completed boot drops in Romania, Guatemala and Moldova giving thousands of children their own pair of Roma Boots.

The broader plan for Roma Provisions is to empower these children to break out of the cycle of poverty through education. That is why every child who receives a pair of Roma Boots also gets a bag filled with school supplies.

With the launch of Roma Flops this month, Roma Provisions is carrying out the same one-for-one concept with warm-weather footwear. For every pair of sandals sold, a pair will be given to a child in need. Roma Boots are sold in more than 30 stores across the nation and online at for $84 per pair. Roma Flops will be available for purchase at by late April for $24 per pair.
