Webcamsoft.com announced Cerberus, a new software for viewing and recording multiple cameras from different angles in synchronization.
Cerberus is a general purpose HD multiplex video recording software designed for recording multiple high resolution cameras into a single track video file. The videos are recorded with a layout selected by the user. E.g. recording 6 DVD quality videos (640x480) on 3 x 2 grid at 1080p resolution (1920x1080). Since the files are recorded as single track Windows Media Format (ASF/WMV), users can review the highly synchronized videos without installing additional software on most platforms. This also eliminates the need for doing time consuming video format conversions if the user needs to view the video on different computers.
Cerberus is suitable for a wide range of applications that require viewing and recording multiple cameras from different angles in synchronization. E.g. training of athletes and law enforcement personnel, conducting scientific researches, setting up automation processes, or simply monitoring the security of a store.
Cerberus has an intuitive, user friendly interface. The software supports both Windows video capture devices with DirectShow interface (e.g. USB cameras) and a wide variety of network cameras. Users can also use a Windows sound device to record the audio. The audio is recorded in sync with video inputs.
