Invatron's ePLUM Enterprise Scale Manager enables Roundy's to centrally manage its in-store scale equipment, associated data and resources

Invatron Systems Corp., a leading provider of integrated enterprise software solutions for supermarkets, is pleased to announce that Roundy’s Supermarkets of Milwaukee, WI has implemented ePLUM Enterprise Scale Manager to centrally manage its in-store weigh/label scale equipment, associated data and resources.

ePLUM Enterprise Scale Manager is a multi-vendor, web-enabled solution that provides retailers with centralized control of in-store scales and printers. Accessible from any computer in the enterprise, it allows support staff instantaneous access to any Ethernet or serial scale device. ePLUM, a full-featured and easily implemented solution, is designed to eliminate data integrity issues, and meets legislated requirements such as support for trans fats, allergens and country of origin labeling (COOL). ePLUM provides users with pro-active, rather than re-active tools, letting them quickly identify scale, data or network issues affecting item and price data integrity. In addition, ePLUM offers complete scale resource management such as label formats, speed keys and graphics that offer significant additional return.

Prior to the implementation of ePLUM, Roundy’s was running a legacy application from another provider that required a proprietary hardware device at each store. Roundy's already utilizes Invatron's industry-leading Fresh Item Management application, PeriScope, to increase operational and inventory efficiencies in its Fresh departments.

Roundy's Supermarkets is a leading grocer in the Midwest with nearly $4 billion in sales and roughly 18,000 employees. Founded in Milwaukee in 1872, it operates 159 retail grocery stores and 97 pharmacies under the Pick 'n Save, Copps, Rainbow, Metro Market and Mariano's Fresh Market banners in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.

In business since 1988, Invatron Systems Corp. is the leading provider of software solutions for fresh food departments, with over 15,000 grocery store installations in North, Central and South America, Europe and New Zealand. Invatron’s software solutions help retailers gain valuable insight into their fresh food operations by providing centralized control of all product information, and gathering critical in-store data on fresh food ordering and production trends. The software includes demand forecasting to optimize inventory, production planning and ordering of fresh food items, as well as centralized scale management.
