New mixed-reality strategy game represents the company’s focus on reaching the male demographic through transformative cross-platform games developed using HTML5.

Jogonaut, a new company leading the way into mid-core social gaming, today announced that its debut title, OJO AGENT, is available on both Facebook and the mobile web. The cross-platform, free-to-play game gives players access to the fast-paced, high-risk sports agent world. Players compete for clout and fame by pitching, entertaining and networking to land the world’s best athletes. Thanks to its mixed-reality format, OJO AGENT guarantees an experience like no other.

By combining real sports events with strategy and simulation gameplay, OJO AGENT delivers a unique mobile and social gaming experience. The game’s dynamically changing data gives players an unpredictable adventure as they interact with their favorite athletes, build out their office, and negotiate with real-world brands to sign multi-million dollar endorsement deals.

Asked what sets Jogonaut apart, Barry Carpe, Founder and CEO, said, “If you look at the current landscape, companies like Zynga have done a great job introducing routine concepts that drive gamers into a sort of maintenance mode. While that’s been a successful approach, it’s not the type of experience we want to create. We think the next big innovation in social gaming will be in using the dynamic qualities of the real world to give users a fresh, exciting and ever-evolving experience.”

Perfect for the sports fan on the go, OJO AGENT is set to reignite the male 18-34 demographic by combining role playing and simulation gameplay with real statistics, real players, and the best elements of fantasy sports and social games.

Thanks to its commitment to HTML5, Jogonaut is leveraging the latest technology to deliver a consistent gameplay experience no matter what device a player is using. According to Co-Founder and Director of Technology, Matthew Peterson, “Development on mobile and consoles is tedious, involving coding and testing in multiple languages and environments. HTML5 is maturing into a single language solution that runs on every mobile device, and ideally, every next-gen console.”

Launching on Facebook in April 2012, OJO AGENT will also be available on mobile platforms via Facebook’s app on mobile web, iOS, and Android.
