Challenging economic times demand innovative business solutions. WorldatWork's Alliance for Work-Life Progress (AWLP) is proud to recognize 25 organizations that understand and exemplify that type of leadership, by naming them as recipients of its inaugural Work-Life Seal of Distinction. The 25 honorees represent organizations from across the country, in both the public and private sector, and from a variety of industries.

"What these winners all have in common is that they demonstrate leadership in workplace practices that help employees achieve success in their personal lives as well as at work," said Kathie Lingle, executive director, WorldatWork's Alliance for Work-Life Progress. "In addition to being recognized for their work-life accomplishments, these employers document the business benefits that accrue from their strong support for the predictable needs of their workforce across the career life cycle. We asked applicants for savings and ROI estimates from their work-life investments, which a majority has shared with us. On average, these employers apply at least half a dozen approaches to measure their work-life effectiveness, combining qualitative and quantitative techniques. They are to be commended for the energy and creativity they expend to cultivate their most important asset – the people who create the business results they depend on."
Research by WorldatWork has long shown that a comprehensive, effective work-life program is good for employers and employees alike. This Total Rewards approach to work-life practice results in happier, more productive employees who, in turn, contribute to a better bottom line for their employers.
Organizations that earn the Work-Life Seal of Distinction will have exclusive use of the Seal in all official correspondence, visibly communicating to others the overall strength of their organization's work-life portfolio.
Inaugural Seal of Distinction awardees will be honored at the Work-Life Awards Gala at the AWLP Work-Life Forum in Scottsdale, Arizona, on April 17, 2012.
