New York, NY (PRWEB) April 04, 2012
On Saturday, April 21, 2012, A Family of My Own (AFOMO) (http://www.afamilyofmyown.com), will make its Tri-State debut to kick-off National Infertility Awareness Week® (NIAW) in Rye Brook, NY at the Rye Town Hilton through its first nationally touring Fertility and Adoption Conference, an educational event featuring the most comprehensive fertility and adoption options in one place for one day.
Conference sponsors include: The Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility, Limitless Potential, NYU Fertility Center/Greenwich Fertility and IVF Center, Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut, Spence-Chapin Adoption Services, Stamford Hospital, Westchester Fertility & Reproductive Endocrinology, and Yale Fertility Center of Westport.
The tour will make four stops nationwide showcasing local and nationally recognized speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors to an audience of potential parents, and will feature three tracks and 18 educational seminars dealing with topics such as third party and surrogate services, starting the adoption process, and preparing your body to carry a baby through holistic treatments. The day will also include Q & A sessions, as well as interactive workshops.
“Our goal is to provide a comfortable environment where people will receive face-time with the physicians, agencies and experts who share the knowledge about issues dealing with adoption, medically assisted programs, and holistic approaches,” said Preya Shivdat, Director and Founder of AFOMO.
“The biggest hurdle with infertility is the lack of knowledge," says Dr. Mark Leondires, Medical Director and Lead Fertility Doctor with Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut (RMA of CT) further added. "This conference empowers couples to find the path that works for them - whether it is modern medicine, integrated health, or adoption. At RMA of CT, we believe that patients have the best chance of success when they are educated about their fertility and their options, which is why we believe this conference is important."
AFOMO will be donating a portion of the registration fees received to RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association (http://www.resolve.org), a non-profit that exists to improve the lives of people with infertility. The first conference stop is expected to attract nearly 250 attendees and is open to the public.
Nina Antolino, Tri-State Program Manager and Founder of Limitless Potential, a coaching and wellness practice which empowers women facing fertility challenges, stated, “We are deeply proud to serve as a sponsor for this conference. It does a wonderful job creating a powerful blend of the best in western, eastern/ holistic approaches, and adoption services. It is a privilege to be included.”
A complete list of exhibitors and speakers may be found online, as well as event tickets purchased for $20 per person at http://www.afamilyofmyown.com or by calling (407) 493-5717.
