In his new book Beyond My Moment of Truth (published by Trafford Publishing), David T. Gilbert returns to the format of inspirational Christian-themed poetry his readers are familiar with from his first book My Moment of Truth. In this collection, Gilbert seeks to inspire others with his passion, positivity and his love of God.
Gilbert is a firm believer in the idea that the message of God’s salvation is relevant to all levels of society and to all people regardless of race, color or creed. He hopes his book delivers that message, showing readers that anyone can be saved by God. He feels that the world can be an out of control place to live, and he hopes his book reassures people that God still loves them regardless of who they are.
An excerpt from Beyond My Moment of Truth:
I am so overwhelmed and amazed,
By the saving Grace of God,
He knew everything I’d do in life,
And every place my feet trod.
Before He put the stars in their place,
He had a plan for me,
He knew I would push my life too far,
To the edge of eternity.
Gilbert suffers from a very aggressive case of Parkinson’s disease, making writing and publishing Beyond My Moment of Truth incredibly difficult. But he has stayed positive throughout his treatment and surgery. He hopes his poems, his strength in life and his determination are inspiring to his readers.
