Small business specialist praised for outstanding customer service

The company must be admired for building its own in-house CRM system...

XLN Business Services, the London-based provider of services to small businesses formerly known as XLN Telecom, has won a Global Business Excellence Award for Outstanding Customer Service Initiative. XLN were also nominated this year for a Customer Service Award at the Lambeth Business Awards last month.

XLN has had an impressive year, re-branding from XLN Telecom (the name of the company since 2002) and expanding into new areas including low cost card processing, energy, mobile and voice over IP phone systems, all the while keeping customer service up to a high standard.

What impressed the GBA judges most about XLN Business Services was its approach to customer relationship management (CRM): “Providing business telephone lines and broadband services to 130,000 SME customers, the company wanted to improve its service standards. After failing to find a CRM system on the market, the company must be admired for building its own in-house. To keep customers up-to-date 24/7 it has integrated text messaging into the CRM system. The system is now having a major impact on the business.”

Over a difficult 2 years for the economy, XLN’s Customer Service department has worked hard to make sure the 130,000 small business owners they supply have an engaging customer service experience.
