“Our participatory process enables our projects to be successful, blend in with the local community, and provide our guests with a unique hotel experience,” said D.J. Rama, President, JHM Hotels.

What's in a name? In the case of Hyatt Summerfield Suites® getting newly re-branded to HYATT house™ Chicago/Schaumburg means that guests will be treated to a totally new experience in extended stay accommodations. A top down renovation of the concept, spearheaded by Hyatt Hotels Corporation, was done with an eye towards making sure that a stay at HYATT house™ will feel more like home. Located at 1251 American Lane, the only thing that hasn’t changed is the hotel's proximity to the attractions of Schaumburg and the vibrant city of Chicago.

Inspired by extensive research and consumer insights, HYATT house™ Chicago/Schaumburg combines form and function to create a warm, inviting, and comfortable environment. From the moment they arrive, guests will feel embraced by hospitality, thanks to the property's many new design elements and amenities.

“We looked very closely at the way extended-stay guests live their lives today and built a strong, innovative concept based on those needs,” said Mark S. Hoplamazian, president and chief executive officer of Hyatt Hotels Corporation. “We’ve created what we believe will be a very successful concept – one that is social and sophisticated, yet casual and comfortable, and really allows guests to feel like residents of a connected neighborhood and community.”

Led by Stonehill & Taylor, an award-winning architectural and interior design firm, this fresh take on longer hotel stays is good news for resourceful business travelers, couples, and families with children, alike. Each social space and apartment-style suite has been thoroughly redesigned with the needs of each type of visitor in mind.

Studio, one- and two-bedroom kitchen suites are reminiscent of a well-appointed, urban residence complete with “mud rooms” and multi-tasking island where guests can cook, watch TV, or work on their laptop.

For those who prefer to leave the cooking to professionals, a complimentary full hot breakfast is prepared fresh each morning. There's also a complimentary Evening Social Monday through Thursday with a succulent spread of cheeses, meats, and savory bites as well as beverages such as wine and beer, perfect to allow weary travelers to unwind.

As part of the JHM Hotels family of properties, this rebranding blends seamlessly with the company’s commitment and vision to provide outstanding service. The lodging company has been recognized for excellence in numerous categories by the industry's leading brands.

“We are very pleased with the re-imaging of our new HYATT house™ Chicago/Schaumburg,” said D.J. Rama, President, JHM Hotels. “JHM Hotels is very fortunate to have 38 years of experience in new hotel construction and renovations. Our participatory process enables our projects to be successful, blend in with the local community, and provide our guests with a unique hotel experience.”
