Privacy on social networks such as Facebook should be easy. CheckSocial provides a one-click solution to show people exactly what information they are broadcasting publicly.
(PRWEB UK) 4 April 2012
CheckSocial is pleased to announce the launch of its free Facebook privacy scanner service. The service is designed to help people perform a one-click scan of the information on their Facebook profile to determine if any posts, photos or information is visible to strangers. The scanner produces a report showing the person exactly what information can be publicly seen and step by step instructions on how to make it private.
The service was created by Alan Byrne in response to the growing practise of employers using the information gleamed from job applicants Facebook profiles when making hiring decisions. Many people do not understand Facebook’s privacy controls and as a result do not correctly implement them. This can lead to the inadvertent exposure of private photos, posts and other information to complete strangers.
