ShoWare Carries Momentum to 2012 with Strong First Quarter

Ticketing software provider celebrates new product features and functionality, customer wins and sales growth, and employee hires


ShoWare™ by VisionOne, Inc. closed the first quarter of the year with significant momentum across all areas of its business including significant new features and functionality to its ticketing platform, customer wins and sales growth, and the addition of employees. The growth is a continuation from 2011 in which the company experienced a record year.

ShoWare started 2012 with the introduction of mobile ticketing and a ticketing kiosk product. The company’s mobile ticketing feature allows patrons to order, pay for, obtain and validate tickets from any location at any time using mobile devices. The ShoWare Kiosk allows for the purchase of tickets and pick-up of will call tickets, both of which are completely integrated with the ticketing platform. Venues using the new Kiosk can provide online purchase of tickets with pick-up from the device by simply swiping a credit card or entering the order identification.

ShoWare also extended its ticketing platform to accept gift cards, a new feature that allows a venue to incorporate gift card capabilities into its ticketing system, providing a host of associated benefits for sales and marketing programs as well as added convenience for patrons. ShoWare’s gift card functionality is entirely integrated into its ticketing platform and supports all forms of ticket purchasing including in-person, online and by phone.

ShoWare success leads to further international growth
Through a partnership with LivePass Argentina, the ShoWare ticketing system was a great success for eight Roger Waters concerts attracting more than 400,000 attendees at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, which boasts a seating capacity of 65,645. The achievement led to a two-year contract with Luna Park in Buenos Aires, which has a seating capacity of 8,000. Some of the venue’s recent performances include Michael Bublé, Ringo Starr, D Joe Cocker, Duran Duran, Creedence Clearwater, James Blunt, Paramore and Backstreet Boys as well as a number of sporting events.

ShoWare marked growth in Canada as well by adding several new venues including Odeon, Regina Symphony and Mosaic Place. The Odeon Events Centre is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada and consists of two attached landmark buildings totaling 20,000 square feet. Planned renovations to the facility will include increasing seating capacity by 60%. Since the ownership change, Odeon has successfully secured some great acts including Young Jeezy, Social Distortion and Puddle of Mud.

The Regina Symphony Orchestra is a full scale, fully professional orchestra that features a 39-week season including an outdoor concert event, classics concerts, pops concerts, a children's concert, and much more. Mosaic Place, (formerly known as the Moose Jaw Multiplex) is a multi-purpose arena in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada that will host curling and ice hockey and will be home to the Moose Jaw Warriors of the Western Hockey League. The arena opened last August with its first hockey game and seats 4,500 spectators and contains luxury boxes and a Club Level. It will replace the Warriors' old arena, the Moose Jaw Civic Centre and is also slated to be the host of the 2012 Canada Cup.

New employees in Fresno, Annapolis and Syracuse
To help meet the increasing demands of the business, ShoWare hired several new employees including: Kyle Eslick, Network Support in the Fresno, California office, with responsibility for continuing the growth of the company’s infrastructure to accommodate new clients; Melissa Allnut, Sales Director in Syracuse, New York with responsibility for the northeast market; and Brooks Wilkerson, Project and Customer Service Manager in Annapolis, Maryland, to assist in shortening the cycle for getting new clients live on ShoWare as well as providing additional testing of new product features.
