Zachary Eastman, Opto-Mechanical Engineer, joins ASE Optics to expand the contract engineering company’s capabilities in opto-mechanical system design, particularly in the fields of microscopy and spectroscopy. ASE Optics provides optical engineering services and custom lens assembly manufacturing for companies worldwide.

Zach Eastman received his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. Zach has worked as a mechanical engineer, optical engineer and lens designer for Lucid, Inc., on projects such as designing and manufacturing laser scanning confocal microscopes, high NA objective lenses, macro lenses and lighting systems, laser diode modules, confocal optical systems and multi-laser, multi-detector fluorescent capable confocal microscopes. Zach will work with ASE Optics customers to develop better performing systems through his cross-functional experience in lens design, hardware, electronics, firmware, and opto-mechanical engineering.
