It has been over 10 years since Enrico and Daniela Pozzuoli planted Cabernet Sauvignon grafted vines on a southerly facing slope located on their Paso Robles Estate. A passion for producing unique and expressive wines drove these long-time residents of Tustin to make the journey up and down Interstate 5 highway numerous times to tend to their vines and evolving wines.
The new Tustin Facility will be a unique concept in that wines would still be produced or fermented in the Paso Robles winery then transported shortly thereafter for aging up to 3 years in French oak barrels. As well as serving as their primary bottling facility, the satellite location will allow the winery to market to a broader audience through wine tastings and events.
Pozzuoli Winery specializes in red varietal blends with Cabernet Sauvignon showing a dominant presence. White wines crafted from fruit grown in the Templeton Gap and Rosato wines are also a part of their lineup. They produce approximately 500 cases of wine per year. Being a small operation, allows them to be involved in every aspect of the wine-making process from vineyard to wine glass. Their main focus is on producing high quality small lots of wine that express the terrain and climate of the Paso Robles AVA.
The new tasting room will be open daily to the public.
