Freedom Cigarettes sells their brand of electric cigarettes and accessories via their main website, and wholesale to a large network of resellers. The existing website has not been updated for about eight months and now needs to cater for more products and have more functionality. They have been concentrating on their Facebook and social media of late, running competitions and communicating directly with customers to find out what is important to them. From this assessment they have created a good design for the new website to offer more usability and make the journey more enjoyable for the customer. The Magento platform is a great e commerce system which makes it easy for developers to create a powerful web shop environment. With a plethora of plug-ins the system can be fine tuned to the client’s exact requirements.

“The reason we chose the Magento platform is that it is something our webmaster is familiar with and the rest of the staff find the back end functionality very user friendly. Our existing site is built on this platform, but up to now it has not been developed to exploit the full extent of Magneto’s potential. There will also be a little redesign to make the site look more contemporary and engaging. Electric cigarettes are now sold in over one hundred companies throughout the UK, so the marketplace is very competitive. This new website will definitely give us the edge over a lot of our competitors,” commented Richard Power of Freedom Cigarettes.
