Doc Hendley of, a TrekDesk Treadmill Desk and FiltersFast W3 partner, took his message of need for clean drinking water in impoverished nations to America this week via Fox News in a Beyond the Dream segment.

Doc’s incredible humanitarian saga is already well chronicled in the book “Wine to Water, A Bartenders Quest to Bring Clean Water to the World.” The 2009 CNN Hero recipient explained his original inspiration. “People can go without food for a couple of days, but we can’t go without water for two or three days.” When Doc learned that three children were dying every minute worldwide due to a lack of clean drinking water, the former bartender/biker knew he had to take action. “The most shocking thing when I first learned about this was what little was being done about it and how little was out in the public. I just decided, you know what? I might just be a biker and a bartender and a rough around the edges kind of guy but I am going to do something about it.”

That was the genesis of which took Doc to some of the most dangerous parts of the world, including war torn Darfur in Sudan, fixing wells and figuring ways to stop the needless deaths of millions of innocents.

Meanwhile stateside, Dee Rubina of the catalyst behind W3, lost 150 pounds in her quest to regain her health (most recently 40 lbs walking at work with her TrekDesk Treadmill Desk) and formulated the plan whereby individuals could donate the miles they walk to raise funds to fuel Doc’s mission. This partnership between WinetoWater, FiltersFast and TrekDesk Treadmill Desks hopes to raise funds for Doc’s humanitarian efforts while improving the health of individual Americans. Details on how to donate miles may be found

“We are so humbled to be associated with two selfless human beings who made a conscious choice to change the health dynamic of their nation and the world,” stated Steve Bordley, CEO of TrekDesk Treadmill Desks. “We are so proud to be a part of W3 and urge everyone to donate the miles they walk to this worthy cause.”
