Halbreich Accounting & Tax Services, Inc. surpasses 25,000 tax returns prepared in current location. They are located in Staten Island, NY and were part of the cover story in this week's Businessweek magazine.

Staten Island, NY based Halbreich Accounting & Tax Services, Inc. reached a major milestone by preparing 25,000 tax returns since moving to their current Bradley Ave. location in 2001. The firm was originally established by Senior Partner Howard E. Halbreich in his spare time while an employee of the City of New York in 1973. Mr. Halbreich would visit people's homes all over New York City and New Jersey after completing a full workday. After retiring from the City of New York, Halbreich started to prepare tax returns out of his basement from 1991 to 2001.

With business expanding at an incredible pace, in 2001, Mr. Halbreich partnered with his son Alan who had recently graduated from the prestigious School of Business, University at Albany, SUNY. The two moved the business into office space located at 18 Bradley Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314. In 2006, to assist in the high demand for their services, the Halbreichs added Frank Scaduto to their staff. Mr. Scaduto is a CPA and New York City firefighter and also a graduate of University at Albany, SUNY.

In the past decade, Halbreich Accounting & Tax Services, Inc. has grown to over 3,000 clients, reaching more than 38 states and has been enthusiastically recognized by the Better Business Bureau as one of the better small Accounting firms in all of New York City.

With a milestone of 25,000 tax returns prepared since their 2001 partnership, the Halbreichs were recently mentioned by client and star writer Joel Stein (http://www.thejoelstein.com/) in an April 5, 2012 featured story in Businessweek Magazine (http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2012-04-05/adventures-in-tax-preparation). When asked about the article, the Halbreichs were extremely happy to be mentioned and appreciated the honor of being referenced in such a prestigious magazine. Hopefully, over the next 10 years they will continue to grow and prosper as much as the first.
