UXP Systems’ MINT Platform to Support Columbus Communications’ Multiscreen Home Phone Service

UXP Systems announces the industry’s first successfully implemented “Home-Phone-To-Go” service--UXP’s Multiscreen Interaction (MINT) Platform supports the upcoming launch in mid-May of the service for Columbus Communications’ cable system in Trinidad. Using the MINT Platform, Columbus is able to seamlessly unify various existing phone systems to deliver calling, voicemail, address book and calling history across tablets, smartphones and personal computers.

UXP Systems, a leading provider of multiscreen enablement software for cable and telecom operators (http://www.uxpsystems.com), announced today that it has successfully implemented its Multiscreen Interaction (MINT) Platform in support of the upcoming launch of a “Home-Phone-To-Go” service for Columbus Communications’ cable system in Trinidad, regarded to be the first multiscreen service of its kind launched in the industry. Columbus’s retail asset in Trinidad, Flow, is the leading communications provider in the country with a customer base of over 200,000 households offering video, internet and voice services.

Using the MINT Platform, Columbus is able to seamlessly unify various existing phone systems to deliver calling, voicemail, address book and calling history across tablets, smartphones and personal computers. The implementation was completed as planned in January 2012 and has since been in market trial with customers of Columbus’ retail operator, Flow Trinidad.

The Flow multiscreen service is slated for full market launch in May 2012, and will feature multiscreen calling, messaging and cable TV listings. A forthcoming release will also include live television.
