Collection events such as this one provide an important community service by giving the residents of Lampasas access to convenient and responsible electronics recycling that safeguards their personal data and the environment
Lampasas, TX (PRWEB) April 05, 2012
Sims Recycling Solutions, the global leader in electronics reuse and recycling, and the city of Lampasas will host a free electronics recycling and household hazardous waste collection event to offer the community a safe method to dispose of these unwanted and potentially dangerous items. All electronics brought for recycling will be safely and responsibly recycled by Sims Recycling Solutions. The event will be held on April 14, 2012, at the city’s Public Works facility located at 201 Brown Street, Lampasas, TX 76550 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
“Many old electronics end up in closets or even the trash because people do not know what to do with them. Collection events such as this one provide an important community service by giving the residents of Lampasas access to convenient and responsible electronics recycling that safeguards their personal data and the environment,” stated Steve Skurnac, President, Sims Recycling Solutions, Americas. “Proper recycling of electronics is an excellent way to celebrate Earth Day because it keeps thousands of pounds of potentially toxic waste out of landfills, which protects you, your family and your surroundings. It also means that precious materials that would otherwise have gone to waste can be recovered and reused, saving natural resources.”
This e-waste collection event will be set up as a drive-through and drop-off event. Staff will be on hand to assist in the collection of items from community members’ vehicles. Please visit us.simsrecycling.com/earthday2012 for more information.
