Tucson, AZ (PRWEB) April 07, 2012
JD Mellberg Financial commenced a copyright infringement action against Accelerated Wealth, LLC and two of that firm’s principals, Bill Walton and Chris Miller. According to JD Mellberg’s principal, Joshua David Mellberg, the company filed the action in order to protect its valuable intellectual property rights.
JD Mellberg’s complaint alleges that Accelerated Wealth engaged in wholesale copying of both JD Mellberg’s SeniorAnnuityAlert.com website and a promotional email which the company sends to prospective clients. In the action, JD Mellberg seeks an order requiring that Accelerated Wealth take down its infringing websites and stop distributing its infringing promotional emails.
Mr. Mellberg was quoted saying,“JD Mellberg has invested millions of dollars into developing its SeniorAnnuityAlert.com website, which is one of the most popular financial education websites in the field of annuities. I continue to put an honest effort towards creating original educational materials and updating my e-mail newsletters and SeniorAnnuityAlert.com, and all I ask for from my competitors is that they do the same. The only effort that I can see on their end is a dishonest one. When one of our competitors takes shortcuts and copies JD Mellberg’s proprietary works, that entity should be required to account for its actions in a court of law.”
JD Mellberg Financial is represented by Mark. J. Rosenberg of Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP of New York. Case Name: Joshua David Mellberg, LLC v. Accelerated Wealth, LLC. Case in U.S. District Court for District of Arizona. Case No: 12-cv-00247.
