Suncoast Solutions presents their annual CEO Forum for chief executives in the hospice industry May 3 and 4 at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort. "Linking People and Potential with the Power to Care" includes three presentations by experts in palliative care and customer service, discussions on the direction of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and emerging solutions in the health care industry.

Presenting on May 3 is Dr. David Casarett, Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Geriatrics at the University of Pennsylvania, a faculty member of the Penn Center for Bioethics and the Chief Medical Officer of Hospice and Palliative Home Care for the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Casarett’s clinical work focuses on the care of dying patients, and his scholarship addresses the ethical challenges of informed consent for research and clinical care in patients near the end of life and other vulnerable groups.

On Friday, May 4, Dr. Joan M. Teno, Professor of Health Services, Policy and Practice and Professor of Medicine at the Center for Gerontology and Health Care Research at Brown University in Providence, RI, presents “Change is Good.” Dr. Teno is a health services researcher, hospice medical director and board-certified internist with added qualifications in geriatrics and palliative medicine.

The final presenter, Donna Cutting, CSP and President of Donna Cutting Presents, is a nationally recognized expert in employee engagement and extraordinary customer service. A stage actress turned author and professional speaker, Cutting helps leaders create places where employees get Standing Ovations and customers get Star Treatment. She is the author of “The Celebrity Experience: Insider Secrets to Red Carpet Customer Service.”

The 2012 CEO Forum includes opportunities for networking, discussing the future of the hospice industry and related-technology, hearing from expert speakers and meeting with selected industry vendors. The two day event begins Thursday afternoon May 3rd, followed by a reception that evening, and continues all day Friday.
