In Mary Wheeler’s new book “HELLO! This is your body speaking - Is anyone listening?: Learn to listen to your own body's messaging system. (pain management)” (published by Balboa Press), she leads readers through a system she devised to increase one’s awareness of the relationship between their actions and the pains they feel during the day.
“Hello!,” Wheeler says, is about pain management. “Taking inventory, evaluating and making changes; by listening to your body’s pain signals you can learn to use your body differently. My book teaches you how do this.”
An excerpt from “Hello!”:
“Well let’s just say you’re going to have to be willing to be a little crazy and talk to yourself. In order to evaluate, an inventory has to be taken. In my mind I am the mayor of the city called ‘my body.’ (Choose your own metaphor if mine does not work.) I have a waste department, water department, electrical department, planning department, management team etc. You get the point here? Okay, I am ready if you are."
“Those who want to make this world a better place know it begins with self,” says Wheeler. “This book strikes at the heart of the current world theme and gives a guide that can become more than just pain relief for your own body. This book takes you into your own body and helps you become responsible for your own health care.”
