In John Victor’s new paranormal novel “Why Did This Happen to Me?” (published by Balboa Press), a group of friends are all summoned by a mysterious woman to a hidden task.
John, 33 years old, has two daughters, but he didn’t have a specific job because he worked at whatever life throws at him. Martin, 22, is a university student; he lost his mother at a young age and lives with his father. Kevin, 25, has a bachelor’s degree in law and is in a relationship. Tony, 26, works at one of the big company names and is also in a relationship. Madison, 24, is the lead singer in a famous band. Jessica, 17, is a student in high school. Samantha, 22, works as a model. Katherine, 21, was homeless. This group of strangers is brought together to learn the value of life. They must face tough challenges in order to survive and, ultimately, realize the power of faith.
An excerpt from “Why Did This Happen to Me?”:
“Everyone, with no exception, couldn’t understand what had just happened. It was a very strange and scary situation, but curiosity was the only answer to their questions. If they don’t go, they’ll never know why it happened to them, or who that woman was. What will happen when they go? What’s waiting for them? Those were the questions that haunted each one of them that night.”
All of these disparate people are drawn together – but can they do what they need to in order to succeed? Are they willing to embrace God’s love and find the success they deserve?
