Stress. Medical practitioners have long attributed many of modern society’s ailments and chronic diseases to this seemingly omnipresent culprit. But how to rid stress from one’s life is still a debated issue. Enter author Nora D'Ecclesis to the rescue.

In her new book “Mastering Tranquility: A Guide To Developing Powerful Stress Management Skills” (published by Balboa Press), D'Ecclesis shows readers how to eliminate stressful habits while cultivating good actions.

The inspiration for D’Ecclesis’ work in stress management came by way of two tragedies in her personal life.

“Stress kills. My dear friend Kathy told me that all the time, but neither of us really ever paid much attention to those words,” D’Ecclesis remembers. “It seems her life was filled with far more than anyone realized, and she passed away in her 40's from what many would consider a stress-induced illness. My cousin Bill was another I lost to his 14-hour work days and the exhaustion of being a surgical oncologist. He passed in his mid-30's from a massive heart attack. After their passing, my passion was to better understand why this happened to my loved ones and to so many others who lost both quality and quantity in their lives.”

Regaining this quality and quantity of life is D'Ecclesis’ driving passion, and through “Mastering Tranquility,” she teaches readers just how simple a stress-free life can be.

“In just a short period of time each day, it is possible to dramatically alter life in an exceptionally positive direction,” says D'Ecclesis. “The goal is to put individuals in control of properly handling the inevitable challenges that life is full of, with attention towards not only surviving stress, but advancing and progressing in the midst of it.”
