We are deeply grateful to all the Venture Capitalists and Founders who have donated their time to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society," said Christina Resasco.

Some say there’s a bubble; others say we’re crazy. What could be more interesting than asking the greats themselves? Motion to Dismiss Cancer is proud to present the 2012 Venture Capital Master’s Lunch Series, benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. http://myworld.ebay.com/celebrityexperienceforlls
The first auction: Power lunch with David Lee and SV Angel Investors
The first lunch we’re auctioning is with the SV Angel team, co-founder, David Lee, partners Kevin Carter, Topher Conway, and Robert Pollack. This team of investors have advised and helped many great founders from Larry Page and Sergey Brin to Jack Dorsey. Their true talents are in spotting the next greats, and advising and leveraging their massive network at key inflection points in a startup’s lifecycle to ensure success. Their notable investments, with valuations over $1B, include Twitter, Square, Dropbox, and Airbnb.
Sitting down with SV Angel, you can ask them about their first meeting with Mark Zuckerberg, or about any of the over 600 of Silicon Valley companies where they’ve been involved since the very beginning. They also have the inside track into what startups will be changing your life in the next year. A meeting with them could be invaluable. 100% of the proceeds raised will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and are 100% tax deductible.
Typically, entrepreneurs spend their days traveling up and down Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park pitching venture firms. For the next eight weeks we get to turn it around by bringing together the most powerful and influential venture capitalists in Silicon Valley, from NEA, DFJ, Menlo Ventures, North Bridge Venture Partners, Greylock and others to be announced. But this time, they are all yours in one-on-one private meetings – ask them what you will, convince them to fund your latest venture, or better yet; maybe they should create a deck and pitch you. We’ll be hosting these auctions over the coming weeks, so keep a close eye. #VCauction # M2Dcancer http://myworld.ebay.com/celebrityexperienceforlls
For those of you that just want to build, we’ve also brought together founders that have been in the trenches and can offer strategic advice as well as connections that can help you succeed. We’ll be auctioning off lunches with the founders of Lytro, 23andMe, Rock Health, BandPage, Spotify, Pulse, Loopt, Votizen, and more.
“We are deeply grateful to all the Venture Capitalists and Founders who have donated their time to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Their passion for helping raise funds for life saving cancer research, their commitment to the entrepreneurial spirit and the potential to discover the next great start-up, embodies the true characteristics of the Bay Area,” said Christina Resasco, campaign manager for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, team Motion to Dismiss Cancer. “Their generosity, and that of the winning bidders, will provide crucial funding needed to advance blood cancer research and development for LLS and give hope to those suffering from the disease.”
The Annual VC/Founders Auction is a high-demand item listed on eBay. Bidding for this year’s auction opens Tuesday, April 10 at 6:00 a.m. EST. The lunch will be listed through eBay Giving Works. The winning bidders will have an opportunity to meet the entire SV Angel team for lunch at an undisclosed location in Palo Alto, California. Every ten days, another round of Venture Capitalists and Founders auctions will be announced and hosted on eBay.

About Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
An estimated 148,040 people will be diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma in 2012. Approximately 54,380 deaths will occur from leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma in 2012. Since its inception, LLS has invested more than $814 million in research to find the cause and cure for hematologic (blood) cancers. This research has led to groundbreaking treatments which are vital to treating blood cancers and many other forms of cancer. We are leveraging the Man & Woman of The Year Campaign as a way to raise funds that will make a difference in cancer therapy research. http://www.lls.org/#/aboutlls/chapters/sf/
