Mr. Canterbury had been with Starbucks since 2000, with his most recent position being Vice President of International Business Development. In that role, he was responsible for executing key strategic Retail and Consumer Product Goods projects for Starbucks in China, India, Brazil, and across Europe. He spent his first six years driving the international expansion strategy and entry into numerous new markets & channels across Asia, Europe and Latin America and then moved in 2007 to Amsterdam, where he was responsible for all new businesses and markets in EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa). This was followed by a stint running Starbucks Germany before returning to a global role in Seattle.

Before joining Starbucks, Mr. Canterbury held various management positions with Daimler based in Germany and Singapore. While in Singapore, he drove M & A and Partnering strategy and projects across Asia.
