Fonté Coffee Roaster is a multipurpose specialty establishment pushing the boundaries on what it means to be a coffee shop. Fonté is more than coffee - it turns into a cocktail lounge in the evening, featuring specialty spirits, such as Few Spirits from Evanston, IL.

After twenty years of roasting premium coffee from its headquarters in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood, Fonté Coffee Roaster opened its first café in downtown Seattle in August 2009. Located mere steps from the Pike Place Market, the Fonté Café & Wine Bar offers a European bistro-style experience right in the heart of Seattle. Although Fonté is one of the largest coffee roasters in the country, this location is their sole retail establishment.

Paul Odom founded Fonté Coffee Roaster in 1992. Odom started the company with a true passion for coffee and a mission to create the finest coffee blends in the world. Renowned for meticulous methods of production, from sourcing the highest-quality coffee beans in the world, to blending compatible aromas and flavors, Fonté coffees are crafted to please the most discriminating individuals. Fonté has earned tremendous reviews from award-winning chefs, fine restaurants, exclusive hotels, and industry publications.

Ellie Chin joined the Fonté team as General Manager of the Café in December 2010. Ellie’s passion for the food and beverage industry began in college at Seattle’s renowned dining destination, Canlis. Chin’s lifelong appreciation for good food was transformed into a passion for the industry as a whole. Ellie has worked for some of Seattle’s most well-known restaurants: Wild Ginger, Etta’s Seafood, El Gaucho, Cutters Bayhouse, and Elliott’s Oyster House, just to name a few.

Since joining Fonté Café & Wine Bar in spring 2010, Chef Peter Jahnke has worked closely with Fonté Owner Paul Odom to develop and oversee the Café’s menu of fresh, European-inspired delicacies.

Fonté’s creative cocktail program, featuring Few Spirits, runs to complement the dessert, transforming the coffee shop environment into a cocktail lounge in the evening to attract a audience appreciative of the finest the city has to offer.
