NuForce, Inc., a leading manufacturer of innovative audiophile products, announces the latest version of their DAC-9 Digital-to-Analog Converter, Preamplifier and Headphone Amplifier. This most recent upgrade of the DAC-9 increases performance to a full 192kHz sample-rate for USB Audio.

The DAC-9’s six digital inputs cover the full range of today’s digital audio playback devices. Whether the music source is a laptop computer, a Blu-ray disc player, a digital music server or a standard CD player, the DAC-9 192K accommodates them all with the greatest possible fidelity.

Each input of the DAC-9 192K feeds a pair of high-performance, non-over-sampling DACs capable of providing up to 24-bit/192kHz performance with a signal-to-noise ratio that approaches theoretical limits. Without ever reverting to negative feedback, a proprietary Passive IV digital output filter delivers a ripple-free, phase-coherent signal. With an eye to the future, a small plug-in USB module/interface provides for upgradeability to higher bit-rate performance as it becomes available.

Following conversion to analog, the signal passes to a minimalist preamplifier stage that again avoids negative feedback. The shortest possible signals paths, lowest-noise components and circuit layouts are maintained throughout. When the user selects the Fixed Mode Output, a mechanical relay bypasses the DAC-9’s digitally controlled volume attenuator, further enhancing straight-wire-with-gain performance characteristics.

Nor has NuForce neglected headphone listeners. The DAC-9 includes a fully independent headphone stage with its own analog volume control and 6.3mm and 3.5mm headphone jacks.
