The first annual Brooke Butler Memorial 5K runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012. The event site is Union Grove High School where Brooke was a freshman and cheerleader.

“Brooke was a great friend to her fellow students. The 5K was conceived as a way to honor her life by raising money and awarding scholarships in her memory. The idea is to use the tragedy of losing Brooke as an opportunity for the community to pay it forward. The response so far has been overwhelmingly generous,” commented Chrissy Chapman, Brooke Butler Memorial 5K Event Organizer and Office Manager with AAA Restoration Company.
