The Ayrstone WiFi system has made checking expectant heifers in the night hours easier at Mindemann Farms in Sullivan, WI. Andy Mindemann, who handles the day-to-day chores of the 120 head cow-calf Angus herd, says the Ayrstone WiFi system lets him check on calving heifers without leaving the house. “I don’t live on the home farm, so before the cameras I’d drive over to do night checks,” Mindemann says. Using the AyrMesh WiFi system and cameras set up over the maternity pens, now Mindemann views the cameras on his computer or smartphone. Without leaving the house he decides if calving assistance is needed, or if he can go back to bed.

Featuring an indoor camera option with pan and tilt capability and a stationery, weatherproof camera that can be mounted inside or outside, the AyrScout Cameras work with the AyrMesh WiFi network. When installed within range of an AyrMesh Router or within a half-mile range of an AyrMesh WiFi Hub, AyrScout Cameras stream what’s in view to a computer or Internet capable device like a smartphone. By connecting to an AyrMesh WiFi Hub, which with meshing technology can relay up to six miles of WiFi, a camera can be set up and relay images from several miles away from home.

Both AyrScout cameras feature infrared LED lighting for night vision and are powered by plugging into any standard electrical outlet. AyrScout Cameras and the AyrMesh WiFi Hub are easily configured by plugging an Ethernet cable into the new AyrMesh Router.

The Ayrstone AyrMesh WiFi system and AyrScout Cameras are geared for people living and working in rural areas. Ratings tabulated from user reports on Amazon put the Ayrstone AyrMesh system at the highest ranking in customer satisfaction.
