Ottawa, ON Canada (PRWEB) April 11, 2012
CrowdWave is pleased to announce that it has launched several new installations and partnerships over the past few weeks. On April 2, CrowdWave entertained and engaged over 70,000 fans at the NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four Championships at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. CrowdWave’s patent-pending “Vision Interactive™” digital video game technology has also recently been installed at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa (home of the NHL Ottawa Senators) and the Pepsi Centre in Denver (home of both the NBA’s Denver Nuggets and the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche). The CrowdWave mass-interactive casual game platform literally enables fans to “Get in the Game”, simply by moving their arms, to play a motion-activated sports-themed video game live and in-venue on the scoreboard video screens.
According to Mark Edwards, President of CrowdWave, the new installations are a natural step for the company, building on the success of its mass-interactive platform in a number of other professional and collegiate sports venues over the past two seasons. “We’re excited at how well the CrowdWave mass-interactive game platform has been received by our NCAA, NHL and NBA clients, fans, and sponsors”.
CrowdWave will be announcing several new partnerships in the coming months as it continues to demonstrate its market leadership in the mass-interactive casual game space.
CrowdWave’s game platform incorporates Vision Interactive™ technology to analyze the direction, intensity and timing of a crowd’s movement, as a whole or section by section, to control on-screen events – to play a game, answer a poll or make a choice. CrowdWave turns every fan into a human controller, enabling them to work together or to compete against each other, providing professional and collegiate sports teams and their sponsors with a powerful opportunity to engage fans interactively. The CrowdWave platform links seamlessly with other casual game platforms – mobile, web and social media (Facebook and others) – allowing teams and sponsors to engage fans before, during and after the event through branded, sponsored casual games, polls and other choice-based applications.
CrowdWave® is a division of Vision Interactive Technologies Inc., a branded entertainment technology company located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
