A newly published study in the Journal of Physiology states that, in animal study, a diet high in fructose but low in Omega-3 fatty acids results in disturbance in the brain energy homeostasis, decrease in the level of a biological molecule (Sir2, responsible for cellular longevity) and a biological process (AMPK, associated with insulin resistance and diabetes).
