U.S. Pest Protection was recently named the #1 Pest and Termite Control Company in Tennessee. The company, headquartered in Hendersonville, TN, was also rated in PCT Magazine as one of the Top 100 Pest and Termite Control Companies in the country. The company's recent recognition is a featured part of a new online initiative, including a new website.
Sam Peden started U.S. Pest Protection in 1985, and in 2010 he turned over leadership of the pest and termite control business to his daughter, Erica Brister. "U.S. Pest has a bright future," Brister commented on the company's growth, "We hire talent, not just warm bodies. We hire only the best people in the world to work here. With this principle alone, I know U.S. Pest has no choice but to stamp out any competition. The team at U.S. Pest is bubbling over with talent, enthusiasm, character and drive. I am so proud of everyone who is on board and so privileged to lead such an awesome group."
U.S. Pest Protection highlights their family's proud history of customer service on the new website. The web design and development was provided by the Nashville-based Horton Group. Horton Group built the previous website for U.S. Pest in 2006. The 2006 version was built on the Drupal content management system as is the most recent website. "U.S. Pest has received plenty of accolades for their website in recent years but they wanted to stay ahead of the curve," Horton Group web designer Jason Hapney said, "Design sensibilities, usability expectations and technological features all advance so swiftly that you have to work hard to stay ahead of the pack."
In addition to a new design, the company has revamped the website's content structure as well as the social media strategy. The new website features new user functionality including a pest identification library. The design of the new website incorporates soft watercolor tones for the background with strong graphics and a user-friendly layout. The homepage was designed to showcase the company's "obsessed with customer service" commitment. The home page includes call outs for free pest inspection and an interactive location finder. A "Tips & Tricks" blog will provide customers with timely information for those looking to prevent bug infestations.
Started 27 years ago, U.S. Pest now serves over 15,000 homes in Middle Tennessee. "Sam is a legend in the Pest Industry for his commitment to the education of the community as well as his loyalty to professionalism and safety for all the communities U.S. Pest serves," Brister said of her father Peden, "He started U.S. Pest over 27 years ago and built it from the ground up ... The real American Dream."
