Swarovski has added its trademark sparkle to fairytale film 'Mirror, Mirror'.
(PRWEB UK) 12 April 2012
Swarovski, leading jewellery brand stocked by the Jewel Hut, has once again brought its renowned crystals to the big screen in Tarsem Singh’s ‘Mirror, Mirror’.
Swarovski, known for its crystal designs as featured on UK specialist website the Jewel Hut, have added its trademark sparkle to three spectacular outfits for the evil queen, as well as using six Swarovski chandeliers from the existing Schonbek collection to light up the ballroom.
Re-interpretations of favourite childhood fairytales look set to be in vogue all year round with ‘Mirror Mirror’ as the first of two major Hollywood re-tellings of Snow White. This magical adventure comedy features screen legend Julia Roberts as the evil Queen, and break-through star Lily Collins as the beautiful and courageous Snow White.
This isn’t the first time Swarovski has brought its signature sparkle to the screen, following other contemporary films ‘Black Swan’, ‘Burlesque’ and ‘The Young Victoria’ which all used its world-famous crystals, as well as various stage and TV collaborations.
Swarovski described the collaboration with Tarsem Singh, known for featuring creative and visually striking production design and costumes on screen, as a ‘natural partnership’. Oscar-winning costume designer Eiko Ishioka created intricate costumes, adorned with over 100,000 Swarovski Elements in nearly twenty colours.
Swarovski jewellery continues to feature as a prominent brand on UK-based jewellery website, the Jewel Hut. Earrings, neckwear, wrist wear and more feature in the collection from the popular brand, which established itself in 1895 and has since then forged a reputation for its precisely-cut crystal.
The Jewel Hut is an authorised UK stockist of Swarovski and many other leading jewellery brands including Pandora, Thomas Sabo, Hot Diamonds and Links of London.
