You are God's messenger today. You bring His happiness to all you look upon; His peace to everyone who looks on you and sees His message in your happy face.

“Only what you have not given can be lacking in any situation,” is the provocative but true statement, borrowed from Jesus Christ and declared by A Course In Miracles International President, Baron Wolter van Verschuer, in a discourse outlining the purpose, process and practice of forgiveness and peace. Baron van Verschuer stressed the importance of full individual participation in the ten-day celebration of International Forgiveness Week and Weekend of Perfect Peace, saying, “For in your part lies all of it, without which is no part complete, nor is the whole completed without your part.
“You will see your value through your brother's eyes, and each one is released as he beholds his savior in place of the attacker who he thought was there. Through this releasing is the world released. This is your part in bringing peace.
“For your part is still what all the rest depends on. As you take the role assigned to you, salvation comes a little nearer each uncertain heart that does not beat as yet in tune with God.
“Forgiveness is the central theme that runs throughout salvation, holding all its parts in meaningful relationships, the course it runs directed and its outcome sure.
“Today we will attempt to understand joy is our function here. If you are sad, your part is unfulfilled, and all the world is thus deprived of joy, along with you. God asks you to be happy, so the world can see how much He loves His Son, and wills no sorrow rises to abate his joy; no fear besets him to disturb his peace. You are God's messenger today. You bring His happiness to all you look upon; His peace to everyone who looks on you and sees His message in your happy face.”
With less than six months to go to the September 14 kick-off date of International Forgiveness Week and Weekend of Perfect Peace, event coordinators are urging intended participants to get involved now.
In an invitation to writers to share their experiences of forgiveness in writing, event coordinator, Ray Comeau wrote, “Bargaining is not Forgiveness. When I stand in a place in my mind, a state of mind of the peace of God, the body and time and space slip away and my dream is replaced by the experience of true Forgiveness, letting go of what never was, resting in God.”
“Please write about your experience of forgiving thoughts in 600 words, or less, and Submit Your Essay, using this link: http://www.forgivenessweek.org/writing.php, urged Comeau.
International Forgiveness Week and Weekend of Perfect Peace will be observed worldwide from September 14 through September 23, 2012.
A Course In Miracles International will hold special events and celebration at the Miracles Healing Center in Wisconsin Dells, WI and affiliate centers around the world.
Everyone is invited to join in the celebration.
