IAB Announces Jimmy Hersman SVP of Strategic Partners

Jimmy Hersman is the new Senior Vice President of Strategic Partners. In his new role, Hersman will work with national leaders to create access to consumer driven health care to help advance IAB’s mission to strengthen America’s small business sector and help protect their interests.

The Independent Association of Businesses today announced Jimmy Hersman as the new Senior Vice President of Strategic Partners. In his new role, Hersman will work with national leaders to create access to consumer driven health care to help advance IAB’s mission to strengthen America’s small business sector and help protect their interests.

IAB Founder, Mr. James Wood said “With nearly two decades of consumer driven health care experience, Jimmy has an extensive background with health care solutions. As a national industry leader he is someone who will effectively play a key role in advancing one of our members biggest concerns - to modernize and promote affordable products for the pro-consumer health care community."

"Jimmy, as a national speaker, has advised business leaders for years about how to improve their methods to save small business owners and employees money on their health care," said IAB President Shane Madigan.

Prior to joining IAB, Hersman served as Executive Vice-President of Health Care Services for Hammerman & Gainer, Inc., an 83 year old Third Party Administrator creating its first health care division. His experience was the essential key in establishing this division and to bring aboard American Express as one of their 3 approved TPA's in America.

As a leading industry speaker, Hersman gained national recognition through his work with large brokerage firms. His advice on worksite and alternative medical solutions allows health executives to remain focused on traditional healthcare products.

About Jimmy Hersman
12 years: A member with the Workplace Benefits Association and currently serving on the Board of Advisors. WBA is a trade association representing over 6,000 corporate and individual members engaged in the marketing of benefits that involve the relationship between an employer and their employees, a business and their customers, and an organization and their members.

8 years: An affiliated member with the Employers Council on Flexible Compensation (ECFC).

The Employers Council on Flexible Compensation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the maintenance and expansion of private employee benefit programs on a tax-advantaged basis.

12 years: A member in The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Formerly called the American Society for Personnel Administration (ASPA), SHRM includes a global membership of more than 250,000. SHRM has members in 120 countries including Canada, China, United Kingdom, Australia, Bermuda, Japan, Singapore, Trinidad, Bahamas and Germany.
