New Maxwell TLS Tests Assure Correct Implementation of the Protocol

InterWorking Labs, the developer of the Maxwell Network Emulator that improves the quality and operation of apps and devices in mobile, cloud, and wide area networks, today announced a new Transport Layer Security Protocol (TLS) Test Environment.

The new TLS Test Environment includes tests for products implementing IETF RFC 5246 "Transport Layer Security, Version 1.2" and IETF RFC 6176 "Prohibiting Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Version 2.0". The Maxwell TLS Test Environment includes more than 100 unique test cases that take on additional parameters for even greater test coverage. The tests enusre TLS 1.2 compliance through vulnerability and robustness testing, with tests for both IPv4 and IPv6.

The TLS Test Environment provides:

More than 100 test cases
Tests for Server Handshake, Data Handshake, and Client Handshake
Both server side and client side TLS testing
Two traffic sources: TLS Client and TLS Server
Tests that may be combined with adverse network conditions (drops, delays, etc.)
