The AleatoricArt Gallery features art born of chance, accidental and highly improvisational execution, and is working to provide it's artists with new and innovative ways to promote their work. AleatoricArt Gallery is a not for profit venture, and all of the proceeds from our projects go directly to the artists for travel, lodging, food, promotion, printing and shipping costs for their shows. Founded by artists J. Coleman Miller and Allan Rodewald, the collective's mission is to help emerging artists (who fit into the gallery's unique and compelling theme of chance) to find a wider audience for their creations. Showcases are awarded to artists who demonstrate a high level of dedication to their craft, create unique and beautiful work and a have a consistent sales record at the shows and events they attend throughout the year.

In May, AleatoricArt Gallery will present our first showcase with a solo exhibition by internationally acclaimed sumi sensation Ted Lincoln. Ted’s work illustrates the oldest form of aleatoric art - his traditional Sumi ink dye on rice paper creations are brought into the future with the use of hard edge metals, epoxies and automotive clear-coat, augmented with binary and bar code serving as titles and the artist's signature. Lincoln's work is starting to gain the exposure it deserves after a relentless five year word-wide tour, and this showcase will introduce his beautiful creations to the thriving Houston, Texas art market.

"Dip into the dappled dabblings of the dapper Ted Lincoln and delight in the depths of his duotone dichotomies. Ted’s crisp and charismatic character resonates with the tersely timeless and culturally contiguous work he creates. His monochrome abstractions seem to function as reverse Rorschach tests, asking not what you see but telling you what the artist feels in a universal language of metaphor and symbolism at which only Ted Lincoln could have arrived. Having apparently tapped into the metrical rhythms of chance, he imposes decisive contrasts on his substrates with the confidence of a striking puma and leaves the kill site strewn with evidence of a great battle between white, the unification of all spectral possibilities, and black, the void that is without chromatic properties. A master stroke specialist, Lincoln doesn’t waste time on periphery but maintains a sustained epiphany of clarity in disparity. While a parity of opposites in attraction compete for reactions within the abstractions, the work of Ted Lincoln brings out for the viewer a newer rendition of timeless tradition in this exhibition." -Ray Cabarga
