Boise based company BlessingGowns.com has announced that they have switched their shopping cart platform to Big Commerce. The move is a result of their continued growth and expansion into new product lines. Laura McIver, President of BlessingGowns.com said, “We started our company with a focus on special ceremony apparel, such as LDS Blessing Gowns, Christening Gowns, Christening Outfits, Flower Girl Dresses, etc. for babies, toddlers and young children. We have found over the years that many of our customers are also looking for gifts and other items, such as Diaper Bags, Diaper Cakes, Baby Blankets and other items to help them celebrate whatever event is taking place in their lives.” As a result, http://www.BlessingGowns.com has expanded their product line to include layette baby clothes, high-end diaper bags, diaper cakes, personalized baby blankets, Easter dresses, baby costumes, and many other products.

When asked why the company decided to move to their platform to Big Commerce, Ms. McIver explained, “Our old platform didn’t give us the flexibility to customize our look and feel, offer special promotions on our site or engage in social media efforts to help us really get to know our customers and allow them to get to know us. Our new platform also helped make our site easier to navigate and allows the customer to do comparison shopping.” Since making the switch, BlessingGowns.com has seen a remarkable increase in sales.

The Company has also introduced a weekly deal where one popular item from their store is offered at a significant discount. “We make absolutely no money on this promotion. We really just want to keep our customers happy and hopefully keep them coming back to our store,” Ms. McIver explained. Customer service has always been the number one priority for the company.
