Tampa, FL (PRWEB) April 13, 2012
Bebo.com, one of the world’s top 10 social networks, today announced that it plans to integrate a new cloud-based, multi-device commerce platform.
Through a partnership with Savtira Corporation, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Cloud Commerce solutions company, the social network will launch a new, fully branded e-store. The two organizations, which kicked off a three year deal, will launch the new suite of services, including a customized shopping experience and a digital locker for Bebo users, in the summer of 2012.
Bebo users will be among the first in the social media world to access licensed digital content from the cloud via any connected device.
The store, which will be directly accessible from Bebo’s main navigation bar, will feature cutting-edge technology such as application streaming enabling the Bebo audience to purchase movies, music, e-books and more, and to interact and play new, interactive core and casual social video games and enjoy social interaction with applications streaming from the cloud. Prior to this announcement, social network subscribers had to rely on proprietary social games as their main channel for video game playing. The store is available to members of http://www.bebo.com.
“The Savtira-powered, Bebo e-store should increase their top line revenue immensely by allowing them to sell physical and digital goods and compete directly with the likes of iTunes and Amazon.com,” said Timothy M. Roberts, President and CEO of Savtira. “On top of that, the Bebo subscribers will be able to play well-known casual and core video games for the first time ever on a social network platform.”
