Pre-configured, pre-validated reference architectures significantly reduce deployment time and management complexity

Nexus IS, Inc. announced today the launch of Nexus ConnectedTM VSPEXTM. Encapsulating validated reference architectures and designs from EMC, Cisco, and VMware, these flexible, scalable block solutions are ideal for mid-size businesses. Nexus Connected VSPEX streamlines the design, ordering and deployment process with a pre-configured server, storage and virtualization infrastructure design, while maintaining flexibility for customers.

Conforming to the VSPEX reference architectures developed by EMC, Nexus Connected VSPEX allows an organization to lower risk and operating costs, while also increasing agility and scalability. These pre-configured, pre-validated architectures also significantly reduce deployment time and management complexity.

Working closely with leading technology distributor Ingram Micro, Nexus has designed four VSPEX-validated bundles. All four include Cisco UCS servers, Cisco data center networking, EMC storage options, and VMware virtualization solutions – with options to include EMC backup and replication, as well as power offerings by American Power Conversion (APC).

“We’re pleased to be working with Nexus to bring to market this new portfolio of Nexus Connected VSPEX bundles. Our knowledge and experience in hardware integration, as well as logistics and shipping is a great complement to Nexus’ design and deployment expertise,” said Don Hoppock, Director, Advanced Computing Division, Ingram Micro U.S. Together, Nexus and Ingram Micro offer the technical skills and business expertise needed to design and deploy these new VSPEX bundles and help Nexus’ customers maximize their data center productivity.”

“Nexus Connected VSPEX is a great addition to our existing suite of Nexus Connected solutions, including Nexus Connected Collaboration and Nexus Connected Healthcare. Each of our Nexus Connected solution offerings combines a great set of features and functionality with the outstanding deployment and service expertise our customers know they can depend on,” said Mike Heiman, Nexus Vice President of Engineering. “We’re proud of the work our teams have put in to designing our Nexus Connected VSPEX bundles, and we’re sure that the pre-validated reference architectures and faster deployment capabilities will resonate well with this new target market.”
