Aquacultural Engineering Society Appoints 2012 President

The Aquacultural Engineering Society has appointed Edward D. Aneshansley as 2012 President.

Aneshansley is President of the Aquacultural Engineering Society and is a Senior Design Engineer for Waterlife Design Group.

Waterlife Design Group of Apopka, Florida, is happy to announce that Edward D. Aneshansley, Senior Design Engineer and registered Professional Engineer, has been elected President of the Aquacultural Engineering Society (AES). Mr. Aneshansley spent several years on the board of directors for the international society and graduated through the ranks of second and first vice president to achieve his current role as president.

“I’ve always appreciated the opportunities the society has offered me over the years, and I’m happy to be able to support the society in this manner. I look forward to the opportunity to lead AES into a new year,” President Aneshansley stated.

This year, AES offers members the opportunity to participate in the AES Issues Forum, a one-day conference focused on Aquaponics and Biofiltration technologies. It will be held on August 23rd, prior to the International Conference on Recirculating Aquaculture in Roanoke, Virginia.

Aneshansley currently lives and works near Boston, Massachusetts, where he manages a remote office for Waterlife Design Group. His educational background includes undergraduate work in natural resources and marine resources at the University of Maine, and a graduate degree from Cornell University in agricultural and biological engineering. He has worked in the private sector for the last twelve years designing, installing and promoting recirculation aquaculture technology in a variety of markets.
