Based in New York, Vigil will report directly to Colby Gaines, founder. He will be responsible for the development and sale of original entertainment properties. Rex will focus on content across multiple genres and be responsible for concept creation, sizzle production, pitching and selling to a variety of network, cable and digital outlets.
“Rex has a strong record of creating captivating programming and a history of bringing top shows to market” said Gaines. “We welcome him to Back Roads Entertainment and can instantly see the tremendous value he brings to our organization.”
Prior to joining Back Roads Entertainment, Rex held the position of Director of Development for Hoff Productions in San Francisco, where he worked since 2004. He has developed hundreds of hours of programming for networks like TLC, Discovery, Animal Planet, History and National Geographic Channel, among others. Rex holds a degree in Broadcast Communications from San Francisco State University.
