Invera is pleased to announce the release of the INVEX Customer Web Service and eCommerce applications for the iPad. These products are fully integrated with STRATIX, the metal service center ERP software also provided by Invera.
INVEX for iPad utilizes mobile computing to interact directly with the comprehensive metal-specific STRATIX database in an instantaneous, real-time environment. INVEX is also available as a web-based application for operation on laptops, tablets, PC’s, and Macs.
STRATIX is a steel and metal industry ERP software designed for the unique requirements of the metal industry. INVEX Customer Self-Service Features
INVEX enables customers, outside sales representatives, as well as customer service staff to quickly, easily, and securely access frequently-requested information & requirements via the web at their own convenience, eliminating the need to call and leave messages or send emails.
INVEX allows service centers to offer its customers access to the following functions over the web or on an iPad.

- View Shipment History and Invoices
- View/Print/email Customer Documents
View/print/email functionality for customer documents is provided for Quotes, Sales Acknowledgements, Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, Proof of Delivery, Test Certificates, and Invoices.

Metal Service Centers using STRATIX can now empower their customers with the ability to record their own orders and quotes as well as view stock. INVEX eCOMMECE offers the following functions that are based on an intuitive, easy to use, multi level product catalogue:
- Browse and select Products from the Product Catalog, prior orders or sales history
- Price Product Items & Quotes
- Submit a Quote Request
- Obtain an online Quote
- Submit an Order Request
- Convert a Quote into an Order
- Create an Order based on customer’s ‘Ready-to-Ship’ Material
- Purchase ‘Customer Consigned Material’
- View & Print ‘Ready to Ship’ products
- View & Print ‘Customer Consigned Material’
Personalization & Branding
INVEX enables each company to personalize various aspects of the web applications in order to better integrate and brand these with the look-and-feel of their existing web portals. INVEX provides multiple branding opportunities to enable each company to alter the default visual characteristics in a straightforward fashion. This process is flexible and efficient and requires no specialized training.
All personalization and branding is performed via style sheet to alter select visuals using the full INVEX web-browser application. These changes are then seamlessly made available to all INVEX user sessions. As an example, the following INVEX characteristics can be easily adjusted:
- Company Logo(s) at time of login & within the INVEX Header area
- Background colors
- Font - colors and sizes
- Footer notes (which can include links to external web pages)
Security Access & Customer Activity Monitor
INVEX uses role-based access and security to ensure end-users can only access information that is relevant to their role. Only ‘Registered Users’ are granted access to INVEX. ‘New Users’ must register in order to access INVEX. This ensures Metal Service Centers can monitor the usage of their eCOMMERCE functionality.
Customer User Configuration Options
INVEX permits each metal company to customize access to each INVEX function by Customer. Each ‘Authorized Customer’ of the Metal Service Center can further configure the functions that are provided for each of their Users.
The INVEX iPad app will be released as part of STRATIX Release 9.2. Advances in tablet-based computing, led by Apple iPad, have facilitated access to web-based functions for higher mobility and functionality.
INVEX will be available for download as a native iPad app from the iTunes app store. This app provides a tremendous user experience as it couples the functionality of the desktop-based version of INVEX with the intuitive gesture support and user interface that the iPad has pioneered.
The INVEX iPad app is supported on all versions of the iPad and runs on iOS5.
