According to letter Annie received from the folks at Guinness, The current record holder (as of January 30, 2012) is Pinky, who was born on October 31, 1989. Compared to Courtney, she's a mere "youngster" at age 23.
Courtney Cuddler is quite a bit older. In early February 1980, Courtney came to Annie as a half-starved kitten, abandoned by his feline mom. At that time, the veterinarian estimated his age at approximately 4 weeks. Thus, they celebrated his 32nd birthday on January 1, 2012.
A true believer in the power of Bach Flower Remedies, Annie immediately started using them to help him get healthy and settle in to his new life as one of "Annie's kitties."
Over the years, as other felines joined the household, Annie has used Bach Flower Remedies to ease the stress of transition, alleviate the jealousies, and keep everyone calm and agreeable as they adjusted to each other.
While Annie has a collection of Bach Flower Essences to use for specific circumstances, the three "most used" essences in her household are Feel5ive Remedy, Walnut, and Rock Rose.
Annie was first introduced to Bach Flower Essences over 30 years ago, when an acupuncturist recommended them to her. Since that time Bach Flowers have been a part of her life.
She credits them with helping her deal with all of life's ups and downs, from relationship difficulties to the most serious – a battle with cancer.
Now in remission, Annie says she believes her positive mental and emotional outlook has been a huge factor in her success. When the doctors told her she would lose a leg she told them "No, I won't." And she hasn't.
Annie attributes the ability to stay emotionally strong, balanced and positive in the face of cancer to her use of Bach Flower Remedies.
Annie has learned that emotional health leads to a positive mental attitude and improved physical health – for both humans and their pets.
