East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania (PRWEB) April 17, 2012
East Stroudsburg University’s student run radio station, WESS 90.3 FM is ready for a facelift. Operating at the college since 1969, the current broadcast radius is approximately 15-30 miles. At the end of the month, students hope to be able to raise enough funds to afford equipment for a signal boost.
The benefit will begin with a banquet, followed by a concert to raise funds for a new transmitter. Several local musicians will be donating their time and talents. One such artist is local pop-rock singer, Blaise Delfino. Delfino has opened for national acts like JoJo, Ryan Cabrera and Elliot Yamin and is currently finishing up his first full-length studio album “Away From Me” (due out this summer). As a student at ESU, Blaise spends time hosting a show on WESS, Wednesday’s at 6pm. As an on-air personality at the station, he is happy to be a part of the fundraising effort and hopes that his performance will help draw people to the event to donate.
The event will be held at the Sherman Theater (524 Main Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360) at 6pm on April 28th. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 on the day of the event.
