First Point Photography (FPP) school in Bournemouth, Dorset UK has successfully achieved the status of becoming a City and Guilds Accredited training centre. City and Guilds Institute is a respected vocational certification establishment that offers accreditation to many types of vocational training institutions in the UK and in other countries around the world.
First Point Photography offer various courses ranging from 2 to 10 days in Wedding and Portrait photography. All the courses come with a City and Guilds accredited workshop diploma, with the advanced 10 day Wedding and Portrait course also including a City and Guilds Level 3 award in Photo Image Capture.
First Point Photography has two fully equipped studios for students to use, as well as a seminar room and computer facilities. All the courses are restricted to six students with three full time members of teaching staff.
The courses cover all elements of Wedding and Portrait photography, including all studio equipment, how to use a light meter, camera flash units both on and off the camera, working with models in the studio and on location, image manipulation using Photoshop, as well as the day to day business practices of a working studio.
First Point Photography offers both residential and non residential courses. Residential courses include accommodations at a nearby hotel and three meals a day. Non residential courses offer lunch and refreshments each day. Courses are run throughout the year with two to three start dates per month.
First Point Photography are the only photography workshop provider that is ELCAS approved (approved resettlement trainer for the armed services) as well as a preferred supplier by the Career Transition Partnership (CTP).
