Gables Residential, a leader in the development and management of multifamily communities, and joint venture partner Cousins Properties, announce that Gables Emory Point, a new 443-unit, luxury apartment community will begin pre-leasing residences starting April 16th with first move-in’s scheduled for August.

Located on the Clifton Corridor, adjacent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and in close proximity to Emory University and Emory Healthcare, Emory Point is a three-phase; $250 million vertically integrated mixed-use development that began construction last July. The development will be the first new retail project built in the trade area in 20 years; the largest private development start inside the Perimeter in more than three years; and the first partnership between Cousins and Gables – two Atlanta-based development companies.

In addition to its ideal location, Gables Emory Point will boast apartment features that are high-quality and eco-conscious. Features include stunning views of the Atlanta skyline, quartz countertops in kitchens and bathrooms, stylish tile backsplash accents, stainless steel appliances, a front load washer and dryer in every apartment home and floor plans that include a mix of studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom- and 3-bedroom designs.

The retail portion of Emory Point has had tremendous success and will soon feature CVS Pharmacy, Marlow’s Tavern, Tin Lizzy’s, Jos. A Bank, Which Wich, Jazmin Spa, Fresh to Order , La Tagliatella, American Threads and many others to be announced soon.

Recently, Emory Point was awarded the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “Best in Atlanta” award in the mixed-use category. The project was noted for the rising demand of apartment living, the most favored type of development because the supply of apartment units has dwindled during the economic downturn.
