Network Composer LX to provide enterprise-level Internet Management to organizations with content filtering only budgets.

Our goal is to deliver an enterprise-level product that meets the price point of smaller organizations.

In response to rapidly growing investments that SMBs and educational organizations are making in
Internet-based IT and operational systems, Cymphonix announced today the launch of their latest Internet Management offering, Network Composer LX. Based on their renowned enterprise-level Network Composer EX series, the new LX line was developed to provide these organizations with the full functionality and benefits of a complete Internet Management appliance, but at an entry price they can afford.

Like their enterprise peers, businesses and educational institutions of all sizes and types have seen their Internet circuits become increasingly complex while also evolving into crucial operational assets. They too have made significant investments in SaaS and Cloud solutions and are bumping into similar challenges surrounding trends like BYOD, consumerization of IT, and the impact of non-business or recreational traffic on network performance. Yet, because these organizations typically haven’t had budgets for full Internet Management solutions, they’ve been forced to rely on the limited white/blacklist features that come with their content filter systems.

With the release of Network Composer LX, these companies and schools can now use their content filter budget to purchase an LX series appliance which will give them complete content filtering, bandwidth management, application control, traffic and usage analytics, and cloud enablement all in one.

“Organizations pushing under 200 megs typically haven’t had the purchasing power to take advantage of Internet Management solutions like Cymphonix offers,” stated Brent Verhaaren, Cymphonix Director of Marketing. “Going out and purchasing multiple single-solution products like a filter, a traffic monitor, a packet shaper or bandwidth manager, is even less viable from both the perspectives of cost and usability. While we’re seeing many manufacturers abandon these markets as they’re acquired or otherwise focus development on other areas, we’ve decided to concentrate more of our efforts on these organizations. Our goal is to deliver an enterprise-level product that meets the price point of smaller organizations. The Network Composer LX line accomplishes that, and we’re excited that it’s available now.”

In addition to the release of Network Composer LX, Cymphonix also announced new unlimited user licensing. Customers purchasing LX model appliances can purchase a single Annual Service Maintenance license based on their LX model. The license includes unlimited node counts and is competitively priced. As organizations grow and their Internet usage increases because of additional users and multiple devices per user, the new licensing stands to shield them from higher ASM upgrade costs associated with per-user licensing models.

About Cymphonix
Cymphonix helps organizations get complete clarity into, and full control over, all their Internet traffic. As demand for content grows exponentially, network administrators’ ability to control and filter content, prioritize traffic and applications, and manage bandwidth is taxed to the extreme. Too often, they must resolve incidences and usage issues by cobbling together information from scattered locations and products. The result? Time and cost-intensive forensics and policy-setting that’s rarely based on a true understanding of the who, what, when, and where associated with the content and traffic flowing over their Internet connection. Cymphonix’s line of network appliances is a single source solution that allows network administrators to quickly, easily and clearly understand down to the minutest detail what’s happening on their connection at any given time, and then easily set and enforce policies across their network. Consequently, they spend less time on incidence response, forensics, and policy enforcement while gaining full control over content, applications, traffic, and bandwidth.
