Northeast Data Destruction has achieved “AAA” certification from the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) for the year 2012. This certifies Northeast Data Destruction as a qualified destroyer of paper/printed media, micro media, and computer hard drives.
The NAID Certification Program is offered on a voluntary basis to all NAID member companies providing information destruction services. The Program establishes standards for a secure destruction process including operational security, employee hiring and screening, the destruction process, responsible disposal and insurance.
NAID aims to promote and encourage the highest standards of ethics for the information destruction industry, and to create a wider recognition of the industry as meeting the needs of commerce, industry, education institutions, and government and its role in protecting the confidentiality of information and records.
This is the fifth year that Northeast Data Destruction boasts NAID “AAA” certification. In 2011 they destroyed 3,366,000 lbs. of certified material, and to date they have destroyed over 1,400,000 lbs., or 7000 tons.
